We all had a lot on your plate before the spread of this COVID-19 pandemic and now Stories of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Eric Garner, and Michael Brown represent more than 1,200 Black women and men, including children who were senselessly killed in police shootings in the last 5 years.
We stand with the black community and people of color, including those among our colleagues and their families.
While we may not always know the right thing to say, we know we cannot stand by in silence. The incomprehensible and shameful killing of another black person - George Floyd - has confronted us with the harsh reality that as a country, and in many of our communities, we are still not yet one, and are still not always there for each other when we need it most.
There is a lot of work to be done to bring equity to our communities and we are listening, learning, and we will continue to stand with the black community.
Finally, considering all the events occurring around the world, we have decided to pause and not resume services until further notice.
We will continue to keep you informed as we learn more about the impact during this journey.
